The 16th edition will take place March 25-26
The Irish fishing industry meet next week in Limerick, Ireland, to celebrate the 16th edition of the Irish Skipper Expo. It was previously known as Skipper Expo Int Galway. The success of the show is the reason for the name change and its transfer to the UL Sport Arena in Limerick for 2022. More than 150 companies from 15 different countries are expected.
As a consequence, exhibitors will enjoy a one spacious hall, enabling more and bigger stands, providing an overall visitor experience. A large outside display area will be located adjacent to the visitor entrance. This way, they can showcase much larger products and boats. In addition, they will display several vessels in the outside arena. Visitors will see first-hand some of the latest fishing vessel designs on the market.
The event is sponsored by the Irish seafood development agency, BIM, and leading marine insurer, Arachas. Further, Mara Media, an Irish publishing and event management company, is the founder. Mara Media publishes The Skipper magazine, a monthly publication for the Irish and UK fishing industries.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to finally bring the exhibition to life, after what has been a trying few years. The expo will be a great place to do business, as well as providing the ideal venue for the fishing industry to network and socialize” Sharon Boyle, Mara Media show organizer, said.
The success of the Irish Skipper Expo allowed the creation in 2011 of the Scottish Skipper Expo. This is held at the new P & J Live exhibition arena in Aberdeen.
