Protix, provider of insect-based proteins and lipids for animal and plant feed and pet food, has appointed Lynn De Proft as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective January 2023. De Proft brings nearly 20 years of experience in executive roles at global companies to her new position and has a strong commitment to sustainability.

One area where Prolix is making a significant impact is in the field of aquaculture with its Friendly Fish brand. Friendly Fish is fish that is fed with sustainable food based on insects, rather than traditional fish meal.

De Proft added, “I am very impressed with Protix as the pioneers and frontrunners in building the insect-based ingredients industry. I look forward to assisting in the further international scale-up of Protix, as well as unleashing its full value creation potential.”

As CFO of Protix, De Proft will support the company’s plans for international expansion and help guide the company to achieve profitable growth. The company has recently scaled up its operations to reliably supply insect ingredients at a consistently high quality on a global scale.
