This year's Blue Food Innovation Summit, a top-tier event dedicated to advancing sustainable aquaculture and ocean regeneration, will kick off tomorrow in London.

Taking place on May 21-22, 2024, the summit aims to foster collaboration among industry leaders in production, technology, retail, consumer packaged goods (CPG), policymaking, and investment "to create a nature-positive, resilient blue economy".

This year’s summit, themed "Investing in a Biodiverse and Resilient Blue Economy," is intended as a catalyst for scalable solutions, with organisers hoping to promote urgent collective action across the blue food sector.

Featuring a wide array of speakers from across the industry and related sectors, the event will highlight the intersection of food security and sustainability, with a focus on innovative strategies for a stronger, more sustainable aquaculture industry.

The event's agenda includes high-impact panels, real-world case studies, and disruptive start-up pitches. Attendees will also benefit from a comprehensive 1-1 meeting programme designed to facilitate networking, with all sessions broadcast live to a global online audience.

The summit begins with a Ministerial Keynote Address at 9:00am by Rt. Hon Lord Benyon, Minister of State for Climate, Environment and Energy, followed by an Opening Panel discussion featuring top names from The Nature Conservancy, NOAA, Mowi, the European Commission and Biomar.

Highlights from this year also include a Producer Roundtable focusing on sustainable blue food, with representatives from Thai Union, Cermaq, Cargill and SeaBOS, and an Investor Panel featuring impact investors from Citi, Aqua-Spark, Ocean 14 Capital, S2G Ventures, WWF and Katapult Ocean, who will explore "the next frontier of blue financing".
