Rocio Álvarez Jiménez

REV Ocean has announced the signing of the Sustainable Ocean Principles of the United Nations Global Compact. This agreement is based on fulfilling responsible business practices in the ocean across sectors and geographies.

The company has confirmed that it will join business leaders from around the world in setting clear and shared expectations industry-wide for a healthy and productive ocean. Besides, through a press release, it encourages other companies to take part of this agreement.

Thereby, the United Nations Global Compact asks companies to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles. Therefore, these principles are from areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. In addition, it encourages taking action in support of UN goals. Such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs or 'Global Goals').

To sum up, the UN Global Compact Action Platform for Sustainable Ocean Business aims to explore attractive, viable solutions and best practices for sustainable use and management of the ocean.
