Måsøval announced a few hours ago that it has a new CFO for the company, Anders Hagestande, who will take up the position effective September 18.

"I am very pleased that Anders Hagestande has accepted the role as Måsøval's new CFO. His background and experience in the seafood industry will be valuable in the further development of the company," said Helge Kvalvik, CEO of Måsøval.

This new appointment is the result of Gunnar Aftret's resignation at the end of May. Thus, up to this point, Aftret has remained at the company's disposal, and despite the addition of Hagestande, he will continue to be at the company's service until November 30th. This proposal aims to achieve a successful and seamless transition.

Hagestande has many years of experience in the industry. Some of the companies he has worked for in this capacity are Blue Resource Group and Bjørøya AS, among others. In addition, he has also held various leadership positions, including board member at Filetfabrikken AS and Villa Seafood AS, as well as financial controller at Novea Sea AS and business developer at AquaGen AS.

"Fish farming is a team sport. To be granted a key role in such an organization is a huge vote of confidence and it means a lot to me. Måsøval has long-standing traditions and is one of the pioneers in the development of Norwegian fish farming," said Hagestande. "I believe that my experience through the whole value chain and my strategic understanding can be valuable when taking part in the development of the company going forward."
