ACEL Group has confirmed its participation as the electrical integrator in the first phase of the Salmon Garden project developed by Samherji Fiskeldi in Reykjanes, Iceland.

This land-based aquaculture project, whose objective is to produce salmon using closed systems on land instead of sea cages, will include engineering, material supply, and on-site electrical works carried out by the Norwegian Group.

In this way, ACEL will coordinate, integrate, and oversee the performance of the electrical infrastructure across the entire facility, ensuring technical reliability, operational efficiency, and scalable solutions for years to come.

Regarding this partnership, Ardian Preteni, Market Manager for Land-based Aquaculture at ACEL, said: "Powered entirely by renewable energy, Salmon Garden supports responsible industrial growth, which aligns with ACEL's strategy to contribute to projects that deliver positive societal value."

Additionally, Samherji Fiskeldi CEO, Jón Kjartan Jónsson, noted: "We are excited to partner with ACEL Group on this strategic agreement. Their experience and competency with electrical integration on larger advanced industry projects will be essential for our sustainable development in Reykjanes."

Furthermore, the subsidiary ACEL Iceland has been established to strengthen the company’s position in international markets and to serve the Icelandic aquaculture sector and maritime industries in the future.

"Establishing ACEL Iceland allows us to support this growing industry locally while strengthening our position as a long-term technology and project partner," Anders Vedlog, CEO of ACEL Group, concluded.
