Benchmark Genetics has hired Sverre Vormedal as its new Sales and Technical Manager to support the company’s customers in Iceland and the Faroe Islands.
In 2022, Vormedal moved to Iceland to work at Arnarlax where he has occupied different roles, the last as a biological controller.
The new Sales and Technical Manager has an MSc in International Fisheries Management from the University of Tromsø (UiT) and a BSc in Economics from the University of Bergen.
Regarding his hiring, Vormedal expressed: "I view Benchmark as a prominent and innovative player in the aquaculture industry. I am particularly impressed by their achievements in genetics and fish health."
In late February, Benchmark Genetics presented its updated portfolio that includes high-density arrays and genotyping services for a wide range of farmed aquaculture species and medium-density solutions for others at an affordable price.
