As reported on its LinkedIn profile, the Chilean salmon processing company Yadran has received recognition from 'HuellaChile' for quantifying its greenhouse gas emissions.

The Ministry of the Environment promotes this distinction to encourage the calculation, reporting, and management of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in organizations and to foster collaboration in building a carbon-neutral Chile by 2050.

The program includes "seals of recognition" organized in three groups:

  • Corporate Carbon Footprint Measurement: Public and private organizations within the national territory.

  • Event Carbon Footprint Measurement: Events held within the national territory.

  • Municipal Carbon Footprint Measurement: Municipalities wishing to calculate their communal carbon footprint.

"This milestone represents a significant advancement for our company, validating our collective effort to identify, assess, and manage our impacts. Additionally, being part of this program allows us to align with regulations and environmental standards, ensuring that we are at the forefront of compliance," the publication reads.
