UMAMI Bioworks launches world's first line of cultivated marine supplements

The Singapore-headquartered company is pioneering a standardized, modular, and automated production platform for cultivating 'not caught' seafood

Rocio Álvarez Jiménez

UMAMI Bioworks has unveiled the world's first line of cultivated marine supplements under its Marine Radiance™ solution, supported by its ALKEMYST™ AI platform.

According to the Singapore-based company, this results from the effort to meet the needs of consumers interested in marine-derived nutrition, which is recognized for its benefits to heart health, brain function, skin vitality, and longevity.

"By aligning cutting-edge science with real consumer needs — from vegetarians seeking complete proteins to ageing populations focused on longevity — we aim to set a new standard for responsible marine wellness," a LinkedIn post reads.

These supplements are free from mercury and microplastics, designed to support skin and joint vitality, and can meet global demand without harming fragile ecosystems.

In 2024, UMAMI acquired the cultivated seafood company Shiok Meats. This strategy aimed to accelerate the path towards scalable production of sustainable cultivated seafood.
