Filtra AS will continue operating as an independent company and will maintain its headquarters in Skodje.
Redox AS has confirmed that it has reached an agreement to acquire Filtra AS, a company specializing in water and air purification solutions for the aquaculture, maritime, and onshore industrial sectors.
Redox’s oxygenation and water treatment systems improve fish welfare and biosecurity while reducing chemical use. With this move, the Norwegian company will strengthen its technological offering in filtration and purification.
"Bringing Filtra into the Redox family will enable us to offer aquaculture producers, the maritime sector, and other industries an even more comprehensive portfolio of products and services," assured Asbjørn Skaro, CEO of Redox.
For its part, Filtra's systems remove and neutralize particles, bacteria, and other microorganisms, including UV systems for disinfecting intake water at land-based aquaculture facilities and treating potable water on board vessels.
Also of Norwegian origin, the company was founded in 2006 by Osvald Ringstad (70), who will remain with the company until September 1, 2026, after which he will continue supporting it as a consultant, while the company will maintain its headquarters in Skodje.
Regarding this, Osvald Ringstad, Managing Director of Filtra, said: "We share a philosophy based on agility and the development of innovative solutions in close collaboration with our customers, delivering standard products where appropriate and tailored solutions when required. We look forward to becoming part of the Redox family."
Finally, Skaro confirmed that Bluefront Equity has been the majority shareholder of Redox, enabling it to make "smart" strategic moves such as incorporating Filtra and Trykkluftservice into the Redox family.
