According to Trine Sæther Romuld, a member of the management team at First Seafood AS, the new ownership group has raised NOK 70 million to support First Seafood's next phase of growth.

The Norwegian seafood processing and marketing group, Insula AS, has confirmed that it has sold its stake in First Seafood to a consortium comprising the company's management team and external industrial investors.
According to the Group's LinkedIn profile, ten years have passed since Insula became the owner of First Seafood, and the company is now embarking on a new chapter to focus on the production and supply of seafood to the retail and foodservice markets.
"We believe this change of ownership is the best solution for First Seafood, its employees and its customers. With the management team becoming the largest shareholder, backed by strong industrial investors, the company will be well positioned for future growth. We wish the new owners every success," said Insula's CEO Sigvald Rist.
Furthermore, First Seafood AS founder Andreas Sundnes said: "Insula has been an important owner and a key contributor to the development of First Seafood. We want to thank them for their trust, collaboration and support throughout these years. The foundation we have built together provides us with a very strong platform for the next phase of the company's development."
Also, Trine Sæther Romuld, a member of the management team at First Seafood AS, shared the news on her LinkedIn profile, describing it as "an exciting new chapter." According to Romuld, the new ownership group has raised NOK 70 million to support First Seafood's next phase of growth.
"Now it is time to roll up our sleeves for the next chapter together with the rest of the company team. With strong partners, our customers, skilled employees and efficient production facilities, we see many opportunities ahead. This is going to be exciting!" she wrote.
Founded in 2015, First Seafood is a global supplier of seafood products, primarily specialising in salmon, cod, haddock and other fish species. The company currently operates production facilities in Norway and Denmark, international subsidiaries and a customer base spanning 49 countries.
