Mowi
Mowi has reported its second-quarter 2026 results, which include lower costs, record-high revenues of EUR 1.6 billion, and an operational EBIT of EUR 231 million, up 23% compared with the same quarter in 2025.
In addition, the salmon giant produced a seasonal record of 150,000 tonnes of salmon in Q2, up 7.4% year-on-year. This was supported by higher prices, which rose 6% in Q2 and are up 21% so far in Q3 compared with 2025.
"It is gratifying to see that we continue to deliver on our growth strategy. Volume growth is one of Mowi's strategic pillars, and our farming operations have grown strongly in recent years. In just a few years, Mowi has grown from a 400,000-tonne producer to a 600,000-tonne producer," said Mowi CEO Ivan Vindheim.
Regarding the strongest-performing regions, Vindheim confirmed that Norway and Scotland performed "particularly well", with record volumes and lower costs.
As for supply, the CEO said that combined with continued strong underlying demand for salmon, this is expected to lead to a more balanced supply-demand situation than seen over the past 18 months.
Mowi's processing division, Mowi Consumer Products, also reported record revenues and volumes of 74,000 tonnes, up 14% from the same period last year.
Finally, the group's feed division, Mowi Feed, achieved record revenues and sales volumes, driven by strong growth in the company's farming operations.
"We expect the market to continue growing through 2026 and beyond, driven by megatrends such as healthier lifestyles, growing demand for sustainable protein sources and, above all, the unique and widespread appeal of salmon," concluded Vindheim.
