Seafood Expo North America / Seafood Processing North America (SENA) has opened its 44th edition in Boston, bringing together thousands of seafood professionals from across the global supply chain for the three-day industry gathering.

The exhibition, produced by Diversified, spans 247,915 net square feet and features 1,215 exhibiting companies from 50 countries. The event runs from 15-17 March at the Thomas M. Menino Convention and Exhibition Center and includes a conference programme, product showcases, networking events and the annual Seafood Excellence Awards.

“This year’s event reflects the truly global nature of our industry,” said Brenna Hensley, Vice President of Seafood at Diversified, noting that exhibitors from countries including Costa Rica, Hong Kong, the Maldives, New Zealand, Sweden and Switzerland are participating for the first time.

The expo, considered the largest seafood trade exhibition in North America, brings together seafood suppliers, processors, packaging companies and service providers with buyers from across North America. Attendees also include high-volume buyers from retail, foodservice and distribution sectors, representing companies such as Costco, Kroger, Sysco, Walmart and Whole Foods Market, the organisers say.

Alongside the exhibition floor, the conference programme features 40 sessions with 125 speakers addressing topics such as aquaculture, consumer trends, responsible supply chains, traceability and sustainable innovation.

This year's keynote address was delivered by macro-economist and author Dr. Nomi Prins, who discussed economic and trade forces shaping the seafood sector in 2026.
