Kaldvík has been awarded Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) certification for its two farming sites in Fáskrúðsfjörður, Höfðahúsabót, and Fagraeyri. The Icelandic salmon producer now has a total of seven ASC-certified farming sites.

This achievement confirms that Kaldvík meets the comprehensive audit requirements set by the organization for farming practices, including environmental impact, fish welfare, community relations, and full traceability throughout the entire value chain.

"ASC is about farming in a way that is good for the environment, fair to people, and safe and transparent for consumers. For us and our customers, this recognition is a strong validation that we are operating to the highest standards across all of our sites," expressed Quality Manager at Kaldvík, Sandra Eiðsdóttir.

Furthermore, this certification emphasizes the role of social responsibility, requiring companies to ensure safe working conditions, uphold the rights of employees, and foster strong ties with local communities and municipalities.

"We are proud of this achievement and see it as both recognition of our work to date and motivation to continue developing in harmony with nature and our surrounding communities," added Eiðsdóttir.

In June, the company raised approximately NOK 523 million (EUR 46.2 million) in gross proceeds by issuing new shares. This fundraising is in addition to the previous capital increase on April 26, when the company issued 6,249,952 new shares at NOK 27. 6 per share in connection with the acquisition of the new box factory, and the remaining 33% stake in its harvesting station, Búlandstindur.
