Smoked fish on a farmers market from Lake Issyk Kul in Kyrgyzstan
The Department of the Fisheries Industry Complex, under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, has made the Electronic Fishing Ticket information system available to recreational and sport fishing participants.
According to Kyrgyz Tuusu, one of the oldest media outlets in the Central Asian country, which publishes official news, laws, decrees, and government statements, this initiative aims to develop the country's fisheries sector and create favorable conditions for entrepreneurs.
The Electronic Fishing Ticket can now be accessed through the ministry's official website, the MegaPay mobile application, and via QR code payment services offered by all banks in Kyrgyzstan.
In addition, the government has launched the Unified Electronic Register of Fishery Ponds and Fishery Entities, allowing electronic access to the department's paid state services, such as obtaining a fisheries operation passport.
Currently, work is also underway on the Information System for Monitoring Fish and Fishery Products, which will help ensure compliance with veterinary and sanitary requirements in the aquaculture sector and increase the export potential of the country's fishery products.
This system will digitally monitor all stages, from the import of fish eggs, incubation, and cultivation, to the re-export of finished products.
"The implementation of digital solutions ensures transparency in the fisheries sector, facilitates conditions for producers, and contributes to the efficient development of the industry," the department stated.
