Silikal Aquaculture Solutions
The German company Silikal Aquaculture Solutions has confirmed on its LinkedIn profile that its Silikal® coating systems are now installed at the new facilities of Acuicultura Cádiz S.L., Spain.
This new facility is expected to become one of the main production centers for Seriola dumerili (yellowtail) in Spain. Acuicultura Cádiz, which is part of the Kingfish Norway Group along with Futuna Blue S.L., uses updated and advanced RAS technology.
Precisely, the City Council of El Puerto de Santa María approved in January the urban planning license required for the construction of this facility at the Left Commercial Dock of the port area.
Silikal® coating systems, for their part, protect surfaces and structures, especially in demanding environments such as aquaculture, the food, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries. They combine durability, safety, and hygiene.
Silikal Aquaculture has also indicated that its team will assist from now until next summer in sealing and waterproofing the facility, aiming to have it fully operational by the third quarter of 2026.
Outside the Nordic countries, this is the largest project currently undertaken by the German company. On-site operations during the initial phase will be led by Silikal engineer John Halstein Andreassen, ensuring a strong and experienced start.
"Our sincere thanks go to Aquacultura Cádiz, especially its CEO, Børge Søraas, and to Ole Kristian Høiås from Linq Prosjekt AS, for their trust and collaboration, as well as for the excellent cooperation with all partners involved: AIPORA INSTALACIONES SL (engineering) and INNOVAQUA SL," reads the publication.
