According to the company's release, Gunnlaugsdóttir, who lives in Kópavogur, is a strong leader with vast management experience - most recently from sales of fish and logistics -, and will work from Arnarlax sales office in Reykjavík.

"Arnarlax is very happy to have Linda on board and looks forward to the collaboration and her contribution to our strong team," the company said on announcing the appointment.

"Looking forward to join the strong team at Arnarlax," she commented on her LinkedIn profile after her new position was made public.

With her joining Arnarlax, Linda Gunnlaugsdóttir will leave her position as CEO of Bacco Sea Products, a company that supplies Icelandic quality fresh, frozen, and salted fish to markets around the world.

In addition, she will also step down from her position as a board member of the Icelandic Association of Companies in the Fisheries Industry (Samtök fyrirtækja í sjávarútvegi), which she has held since March 2023.

Previously, she had already held various positions as director, General Manager, and board member throughout her extensive career.
