Aquatic nutrition and health specialist company INVE Aquaculture has appointed Dr. Sih Yang Sim as its new Business Development Manager, Marine Fish for APAC/China, to continue its mission of strengthening marine fish farming in Asia.

In his new role, Yang will help enhance technical training and knowledge-sharing on the proper use of fish-specific products — from early-stage diets to Artemia, live feeds, and health solutions.

The new manager holds a PhD in grouper aquaculture and economics, although his career spans a wide range of marine and freshwater species, as well as crustaceans across the Asian region.

"I am excited to join INVE, a market leader in early-stage nutrition and care in aquaculture, and to work with a team of global experts to expand the marine fish portfolio in APAC and China," expressed Yang.

Additionally, Regional Sales Director APAC/China at INVE, Amir-Antoine Khalil, said: "Appointing Yang to this role will support our continued efforts to capture new growth opportunities in the fish hatchery sector, while addressing the challenge of adapting our global solutions to meet constantly evolving regional needs — reflecting our commitment to proximity, technical excellence, and tailored support for our partners and customers."

INVE has over 40 years of experience in marine hatcheries in the Mediterranean. This move aligns with its intention to address the growing demand for sustainable solutions in tropical climates and the challenges of marine aquaculture in Asia.

The addition of Yang complements its strengthened presence in countries like Indonesia and Vietnam. For example, in 2024, the Belgian company hired Hai Dang Do as Area Manager for Vietnam to oversee operations in the country, lead the team, and report to Amir Khalil, Regional Sales Director for APAC and China.
