Artec Aqua, a turnkey supplier for land-based aquaculture, has announced a change of leadership this week.

The company, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nordic industrial group Endúr ASA, has appointed Frederik Langehaug as its new CEO, after Ingegjerd Eidsvik decided to step down after more than six years in the role.

"Ingegjerd Eidsvik is stepping down after many solid years as a leader with us," the company said in a LinkedIn post announcing the leadership change.

"We are proud to be able to recruit internally. Fredrik Langehaug will now take over as the new leader, and we look forward to continuing the good development under his leadership," Artec Aqua stated.

Eidsvik joined Artec Aqua as CEO in 2018, after fifteen years at Norwegian children's furniture manufacturer Stokke, where she held senior roles including Vice President for Innovation and Supply Chains.

Langehaug was Artec Aqua's Chief Financial Officer for just over one year, joining the company in September 2023, having previously held several senior management roles at PwC Norway.

A specialist in hybrid flow-through aquaculture facilities

Artec Aqua, a specialist in the design of hybrid flow-through systems, is the main contractor for a number of high-profile land-based projects, as the turnkey supplier for Salmon Evolution's Phase 1 facility at Indre Harøy, as well as the construction and commissioning of its Phase 2 expansion, expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Artec Aqua is also the main supplier for GeoSalmo, another hybrid flow-through salmon farming project which is currently under construction west of Þorlákshöfn in southern Iceland.

Most recently, Artec Aqua announced it has secured a contract with Sævareid Fiskeanlegg AS to serve as turnkey supplier for the development of a new smolt production facility in Sævareid, Norway. The facility is designed to achieve a production capacity of 29 million smolt, providing a substantial enhancement to Sævareid’s operational capacities, the companies said.
