Tarjei Eide has been appointed Managing Director of Cargill Aqua Nutrition (CQN) North Sea and Canada. In his new role, he will not only be responsible for CQN's business in Norway, Scotland, and Canada but also join the company's global leadership team and report to Helene Ziv-Douki, president of CQN and global leader of the group.

This appointment marks his promotion from his current position as Chief Financial Officer at the company. Tarjei Eide, who holds a master's degree in finance from the NHH Norwegian School of Economics, joined Cargill in 2018 as finance lead for Cargill Aqua Nutrition North Sea & Canada after ten years in management consulting. Since then, he has been part of the North Sea & Canada management team and helped develop strategies for Cargill, both in Europe and globally.

"He knows the aquaculture industry well and has been central in supporting several of Cargill's largest fish farming customers," is said of him commenting on the news on the LinkedIn page of EWOS, Cargill Aqua Nutrition's product and services brand. Eide is also a board member of EWOS Innovation AS in Dirdal, Norway, where Cargill recently expanded its feed research facilities.

CFO Tarjei Eide will assume leadership of Cargill Aqua Nutrition's North Sea and Canada business effective January 1, 2024, replacing Fredrik Witte, who is leaving Cargill after more than nine years with the company. Witte has been appointed CEO of Corvus Energy, a provider of zero-emission solutions for marine, offshore, and port applications, which he will join at the start of next year.
