Norway’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries has appointed Siri Finnema Moen as its new communications director for fisheries and ocean affairs.
Moen, who is currently a news editor, producer and reporter at Norway’s public broadcaster NRK, will take up the position on 1 September.
According to the ministry, the role will give her particular responsibility for communications linked to fisheries, seafood, aquaculture, the maritime sector and marine research.
Moen has extensive experience in television and radio, having worked on several well-known Norwegian news, current affairs and entertainment programmes. These include NRK’s weekend morning programme Helgemorgen, its morning news programme Nyhetsmorgen and the evening current affairs programme Dagsnytt 18.
She has also worked on entertainment programmes including the talk shows Lindmo on NRK and Senkveld med Thomas og Harald on Norway's TV 2 channel.
