Now, Corbion has announced the return to the company of Bart Boomsma who will occupy the same position, Business Development Manager, but for the Animal Nutrition area. Both are tasked with further developing the company's strategy to grow the algae business in animal nutrition.

An old acquaintance of Corbion, Bart Boomsma already worked for the sustainable ingredient solutions company from 2009 to 2015 as a Technical Marketing Specialist. During that first period, he developed a deep understanding of its innovative solutions and contributed significantly to various marketing initiatives.

After leaving, Boomsma continued to develop his career in the animal nutrition sector, taking on technical-commercial roles at Palital Feed Additives and AHV (Animal Health Vision). On his return, Corbion highlighted that his experience in these positions has further honed his knowledge in product development, animal health and nutrition.

According to the release, in his new role as Business Development Manager for Animal Nutrition, he will leverage his extensive knowledge and experience to drive business development, focusing on expanding Corbion's presence in the pet and livestock markets.

"Over the last years, Corbion has delivered on the strategy of consistently growing the algae business in animal nutrition. To continue this path of ambitious growth in the key segments of Aquaculture, Pet, and Livestock, we have strengthened our Business Development team. We are very happy to welcome Bart to our team," said Luc Steenwelle, Business Director in Animal Nutrition at Corbion, commenting on what the company calls "Bart's reappointment."

As stated on his LinkedIn profile, Boomsma shares that happiness about his return. "Rejoining Corbion has felt like coming home. So many familiar faces, even after my 9 years away," he wrote. "Being here feels right. I couldn't be more excited to join you again and help bring our sustainable algae based ingredients into animal nutrition."

His work will be complemented by Lenaïg Richard-Breivik's

As mentioned above, Bart Boomsma's position as Business Development Manager for Animal Nutrition complements that of Lenaïg Richard-Breivik as Business Development Manager for Aquaculture. According to the announcement, as both of them step into their new roles, those in the company's network can expect active engagement as they reach out to deliver the benefits of Corbion's algae products.

Efforts will focus on improving the business performance of Corbion's partners by providing high quality and sustainable solutions tailored to the needs of the animal nutrition and aquaculture industries. For this second area, the company relies on Lenaïg Richard-Breivik's extensive experience.

The executive has come to Corbion from thirteen years at Nutreco's aquafeed company Skretting, where she held key roles in research, product management, marketing and business development. Her extensive experience in fish and shrimp nutrition, precision feeding and breeding, and innovation management is complemented by a PhD in shrimp nutrition.

The Business Director in Animal Nutrition at Corbion also expressed his satisfaction with the signing of the former Skretting executive. "We are thrilled to welcome Lenaïg to our team," said Luc Steenwelle. "Her extensive experience and proven track record in the aquaculture industry will be invaluable as we continue to innovate and grow our aquaculture business. We look forward to the strategic insights and leadership she will bring to Corbion."

For her part, like her colleague Bart Boomsma, Lenaïg Richard-Breivik also commented on her appointment in a post on LinkedIn. "I am thrilled to share that I have joined Corbion and its innovative team to expand algae application into aquaculture nutrition," she claimed.
