Leading insect protein producer Protix has appointed Piotr Postepski as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Therefore, he will be responsible for the overall commercial strategy, leading the sales team, marketing, and business development activities as well as product development.

Before, Postepski occupied several leadership roles in the pharmaceutical sector and animal health business, across different geographies and in companies like ECO ANIMAL HEALTH GROUP PLC and Novartis.

Regarding his appointment, the new CCO published on his LinkedIn profile: "I am excited to share with you that I joined Protix a globally leading insect company as Chief Commercial Officer. Protix is the market leader in insect-based nutrition for healthy and sustainable feed and food, a true game-changer in the protein and lipids industry. I can’t wait what the future will bring in this exciting journey."

In January, Protix announced it has secured up to €37 million to support its international expansion, funding the construction of a new cutting-edge production plant in Poland. This investment supports the InvestEU program's objective for Sustainable Bioeconomy and Circular Economy.

The development followed the announcement of Protix's collaboration with Tyson Foods, Inc., one of the world's largest food companies, which is acquiring a minority stake in Protix to help finance its global expansion, in addition to launching a joint venture to operate and build an insect ingredients plant in the US.
