Proximar is Advancing with The Facility

Ruben Jørgensen

Proximar is advancing with the facility by selecting Graintec's HyFlowTM water-borne feeding system for their grow-out salmon farm. The Oyama fish farm, located at the foot of Mount Fuji, is poised to produce approximately 5300 tonnes of Atlantic salmon annually with a focus on sustainability and reducing its environmental impact

The feeding system is crucial to the success of the farm, as feeding large volumes of fish is both costly and time-consuming. The HyFlowTM system is low complexity, easy to operate, and gentle on the feed pellets, reducing feed loss and ensuring good distribution in the fish tanks.

Lars Stigaard, CTO at Proximar, Japan, says that the water-borne solution offers practical benefits, including low complexity, ease of operation and maintenance, and the ability to feed at different depths in the fish tanks.
