The Federation of European Aquaculture Producers (FEAP) has appointed Anna Pyć as its new President for the next three years, following the successful six-year leadership of outgoing President Lara Barazi-Geroulanou of Greece.

Anna Pyć, originally from Poland, is the CEO of Pustelnia Fish Farm and Vice President of the Polish Trout Breeders Association. Also, she has been a member of FEAP's Management Committee for six years.

Moreover, she has contributed to strengthening carp and trout farming in Poland, increasing their visibility and strategic importance at both national and EU levels, building relationships with national institutions to support the sustainable development of aquaculture, and promoting new and advanced technologies.

"Every day, Anna Pyć demonstrates the strength and leadership of women in aquaculture, managing and developing her own fish farm, driving continuous improvement, and providing substantive, well-informed contributions on the legal frameworks that regulate the sector," added the FEAP in its statement.

Outgoing President Lara Barazi-Geroulanou gave an interview to WeAreAquaculture a few years ago, where she shared her dedication and efforts in transformative leadership, as well as her roles as CEO of Kefalonia Fisheries, member of the board of the Benaki Museum, and member of the advisory board of the Blue Revolution Fund.

"The Federation extended its gratitude to the Cypriot hosts, the Cyprus Mariculture Association, for their warm welcome, and looks forward to a new chapter of innovation and collaboration under President Pyć’s leadership," concludes the statement.
