A new seafood sales and consultancy company launched by seafood industry veteran Lauren Enz is already finding success with the land-based aquaculture sector.
Searenity Seafoods aims to connect international sustainable seafood producers with end consumers in North American markets.
In a press release announcing the launch of the new consultancy, Enz revealed that her roster of initial clients include yellowtail farmer The Kingfish Company, Iceland's Matorka, Stolt Sea Farm, newcomer Pine Island Redfish in Florida, and Maine-based Atlantic Sea Farms, the only non-landbased operation mentioned, farming seaweed and kelp.
Enz is highly-experienced in the world of U.S. seafood sales, most recently serving as U.S. Vice President of Sales for The Kingfish Company.
“My passion is bringing the stories of sustainable seafood – the farmers, their innovative technology and diverse species – to chefs, retailers, and national accounts,” Enz said.
“Today’s consumer demands more accountability and transparency in how their seafood is sourced. Searenity Seafoods is the link to making the connection between fillet and fork.”
“Lauren considers more than just sales,” said Ohad Maiman, Founder and Former CEO of The Kingfish Company.
“She is committed to high quality, sustainable, and responsible fish farming, and thanks to her unparalleled network and familiarity with the US market, she has been successful in connecting the right buyers to our product.”
