Christian Sørensen's new company, founder of Billund Aquaculture from Denmark, will be renamed Globaq Solutions, a company focused on developing advanced recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) for land-based fish farming.
In August 2024, Billund Aquaculture, a specialist in the design, implementation, and service of RAS for land-based fish farming, filed for bankruptcy after almost 40 years in business. Three months later, Sørensen announced he was launching a new company specialising in the same sector, under the name Billund Aquatech.
"We move forward with a clear purpose: to deliver cutting-edge, sustainable, and efficient aquaculture solutions — while advancing RAS technology and sustainability in global aquaculture," a statement reads.
The services offered by Globaq Solutions include RAS design, turnkey project execution, retrofits, and system upgrades. They have also presented their new website, where you can access information about their services, values, and vision.
"This new chapter marks our continued commitment to responsible aquaculture and to delivering value for our clients through deep expertise and innovation," expressed the founder of Globaq Solutions.
