Connie Pattillo has been appointed the new Head of Farming Operations at Wester Ross Fisheries Ltd. after "careful consideration", following Director David Robinson and Director Gilpin Bradley's retirements in 2023.
Pattillo was formerly the Western Isles area manager for Mowi, where she began her aquaculture career at Mowi's wrasse hatchery in Machrihanish. Her experience has allowed her to move from Health Manager to Farm Manager roles.
According to a statement released by the company, "her interest in cleaner fish fits perfectly with the medicine-free farming and production ethics at Wester Ross Fisheries Ltd."
Therefore, Pattillo will lead the Wester Ross team, whose philosophy relies on manual, low mechanization, and natural local salmon production with which the brand is identified.
Wester Ross Fisheries Ltd. was founded in 1977, by Robin Bradley and Alan Mann. It is the oldest independently operated salmon farm in Scotland and it has been hand-rearing its fish for generations.
The Scottish company currently manages three seawater sites in Loch Kannaird, Loch Broom, and Little Loch Broom with a sales and administration office in Dingwall.
