Sudvet currently works with 95% of the Chilean salmon farming industry
The Chilean animal health and biotechnology company, Sudvet, has announced the appointment of Marcelo Imilan Ojeda as its new Health Manager.
This move reflects the company's intention to strengthen its position at the forefront of technological innovation, aligning with the latest international advances while supporting its expansion into global markets.
Previously, Imilan held leadership roles and led fish health initiatives at companies including Cermaq Chile and Marine Harvest (now Mowi). A veterinarian by training, he brings more than two decades of experience in fish health and aquaculture production.
Sudvet's products are designed to improve the health, welfare and productivity of species including salmon, poultry and livestock, while promoting more sustainable production practices.
Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Puerto Varas, Chile, the company has expanded beyond its offices in Chile and the United States with new operations in Australia, Norway and Scotland.
It currently works with 95% of the Chilean salmon farming industry and continues to expand its botanical solutions into strategic markets including Scotland, Ireland, and Ecuador.
