The Rwanda-based aquaculture company Kivu Choice has hired Olivier De Vreese as its new Director of Operations. This new addition will provide innovative solutions and energy to the team, as expressed by Founder & CEO Kamran Heinrich Ahmad in a LinkedIn post.

The new director has more than 10 years of experience in environmental technologies and renewable energy areas in East and West Africa.

"Having spent seven years working with the largest retail solar business in Africa, most recently as Group Operations Director, he played a pivotal role in managing and expanding the company’s extensive operations across the African continent," Ahmad added.

Also, De Vreese posted: "Kivu Choice is on a mission to democratize access to animal protein and enhance food security through sustainable fish farming in Rwanda. I’m truly excited to work alongside a passionate team committed to driving impact, increasing the availability of healthy, high-quality fish protein, and supporting the communities we serve."

In late June, Kivu Choice welcomed Sonny Francisco as its new Director of Aquaculture.
