The world's seafood leader Thai Union Group announced that Bryan Rosenberg has decided to step down as CEO of the Thai Union North America (TUNA) region, effective January 1, 2025. Co-founder of Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods (COSFF) along with Thai Union in 2006, in 2020, upon becoming President and CEO of TUNA, he also assumed leadership of Chicken of the Sea International (COSI).

Now, to replace him, Daniel Halford, COSFF's Senior Vice President of Operations, has been appointed as the new President, reporting to Rittirong Boonmechote, President of Thai Union Group's Frozen Business. In February, CSFF renewed its leadership team, and earlier this year, Andy Mecs was appointed President of COSI.

Thai Union also said that Rosenberg will remain attached to the company as Executive Director and Founder, supporting the frozen business by managing key customer relationships, mentoring and coaching the new leadership team, and supporting the Group's strategic interests in the North American market.

"It has been our intent for some time to transition the leadership in North America," Rosenberg said commenting on his stepping down. "I remain fully committed to the long-term success of the business and have complete confidence in Andy, Daniel, and their respective leadership teams to drive the next phase of each company’s growth."

A key contributor to Thai Union's success in North America

In the statement on Bryan Rosenberg's stepping down, the seafood company noted that, under his leadership, COSFF grew to become the leading importer of shrimp and crab meat in the United States.

"I want to thank Bryan for his leadership, partnership, and tenacious spirit in building COSFF to be one of the premier seafood importers in the U.S.," said the CEO of Thai Union Group, Thiraphong Chansiri.

"He has worked tirelessly and been a key contributor to our success, most recently guiding COSI to the path of sustainable performance. I am grateful that he remains committed to our organization, working with us on key strategic issues in the North American market," Chansiri stated.

In closing, Rosenberg expressed his pride in the company's achievements during his tenure at Thai Union and thanked the executive team for the trust they have always placed in him. "Like many others, I've spent my entire career in the seafood industry and plan on remaining connected to it for many years to come as part of this next phase of my career," he added to conclude.
