AI-powered solutions provider Aquaticode has announced the appointment of Therese Log Bergjord as its new Strategic Advisor. Previously, she was the CEO of Skretting and currently serves on the boards of Kverva, Nordic Aqua Partners, and other key companies in the seafood sector.

"AI is finally delivering real value in aquaculture. Aquaticode's approach is precise, scalable, and grounded in biology. It’s not just smart tech—it’s good farming," assured Bergjord.

Just a few days ago, the Norwegian company announced the signing of agreements with two of Chile's largest salmon producers, Australis and AquaChile, to use its innovative AI-powered fish sorting system.

The SORTpro system, introduced by Aquaticode 18 months ago, delivers increased profitability through improved operational efficiency and stronger biological performance, while also reducing mortality and early sexual maturation rates.

According to Aquaticode, this appointment comes at a pivotal moment, as artificial intelligence is transforming industry practices. This is further evidenced by the new commercial agreements being signed, as the one mentioned above.

"Therese brings sharp strategic insight, a deep understanding of biology and business, and a global perspective. We’re proud to have her in our corner," said CEO Stian Rognlid.
