Aquaticode has announced the signing of agreements with two of Chile's largest salmon producers, Australis and AquaChile, to use its innovative AI-powered fish sorting system.
The SORTpro system, introduced by Aquaticode 18 months ago, delivers increased profitability through improved operational efficiency and stronger biological performance, while also reducing mortality and early sexual maturation rates.
"Aquaticode's AI-driven sorting technology allows us to make faster, more accurate decisions and to maximize the biological potential of every fish," assured Australis Farming Manager Cristian Sauterel.
Moreover, AquaChile, which has already used this technology to sort millions of fish by gender and growth potential, has expanded its use by integrating the next-generation system into its operations.
Early gender sorting improves growth predictability: males grow 20% faster, and females achieve a 5% growth advantage when raised separately, according to Aquaticode.
"By improving growth, increasing survival, reducing waste, and enhancing predictability, Aquaticode's sorting system is quickly becoming the new standard for efficient and profitable salmon farming," concluded Aquaticode CEO, Stian Rognlid.
