The Global Seafood Alliance (GSA) has announced the launch of its second campaign, Choose Seafood with Standards. This campaign aims to raise consumer awareness about the GSA Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) certification and drive sales of responsibly produced and sourced seafood products.

With the slogan "Choose Seafood with Standards: Shape the Future, Shape Your Future," GSA will promote how to choose seafood products throughout the upcoming month. This is a way to emphasize the organization's positive contributions to consumer health and the environment.

To achieve this, collaboration with key retailers, food service operators, seafood and meal delivery companies, and social media are essential. Through them, they will educate consumers about the meaning of BAP. Some of the names involved in this initiative include ALDI, Giant Eagle, Green Chef, HEB, Iberostar Hotels, and Lidl.

Fun and Educational Activities

Throughout the month-long campaign, they will conduct various public relations activities, engage with social media, involve influencers, create new recipes, and update the new BAP consumer website. Additionally, participating partners will support the program in various ways, such as through in-store posters and videos.

"Our research shows that consumers who are familiar with BAP trust BAP," said Elise Avallon, GSA's marketing director. "That is why GSA is committed to educating consumers about the label, what it means, and why retailers, restaurants, and direct delivery companies have included it in their responsible sourcing policies."
