Seafood Ninja, or in other words, founder and sustainability expert Adriana Sánchez, has joined the seafood consulting partnership formed by Warrior Food Solutions and Sustainable Food Solutions. As a collaborator among three consultancies, Sanchez's role - like that of her colleagues Randy Rhodes and Dana Bartholomew - focuses on leveraging sustainability expertise to guide companies on their path to more sustainable sourcing practices.

"Additionally, I focus on enabling them to communicate their sustainability journey effectively, ensuring that their narrative resonates with both existing and prospective customers," Adriana Sánchez tells WeAreAquaculture.

Three consulting partners, so far

In January this year, Randy Rhodes' consultancy, Warrior Food Solutions, and Dana Bartholomew's consultancy, Sustainable Food Solutions, announced they had decided to unite forces to embark on a consulting partnership. "Leveraging their extensive backgrounds and complementary skill sets, this partnership is positioned to address the evolving landscapes of both the US seafood and global seafood markets," the statement said then.

Also then, they announced that in the coming months, the association planned to unveil additional team members, further increasing the group's capabilities. "This expansion aims to provide comprehensive support across various facets of the food business, ensuring clients receive tailored solutions," they added.

The first addition is now Adriana Sánchez, who with her consulting firm, Seafood Ninja, has spent years dedicated to democratizing access to sustainability for all seafood companies, whatever their size. Because, as she told us during the interview for her TalentView, "sustainability is not one size fits all".

Mutual support opportunities

"I'm excited to join these seafood industry veterans, Dana and Randy, and not only learn from their years of expertise in the industry, but also bring the sustainability pillar to the way we should all be doing business into the future," Sánchez tells now WeAreAquaculture. "Disrupting the business as usual model is why I founded Seafood Ninja and I'm looking forward to joining this network and seeing what we can accomplish together. "

As mentioned, her new partners are veterans of the seafood industry. With more than four decades of experience in aquaculture, seafood processing, agricultural operations, sustainability, sales management and sales networks, and logistics, Randy Rhodes' expertise gives him a broad understanding of the complexities of the seafood industry. Dana Bartholomew, meanwhile, has experience in sales and sales management, distribution, importing, and land-based (RAS) aquaculture, offering a broad perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing companies in this market.

Although - as Sánchez confirms WeAreAquaculture - the partnership is currently in the early stages of exploring potential collaborations and mutual support opportunities, expanding into the Latin Market will be a key consideration on her horizon given Seafood Ninja's connections. Not focusing on potential challenges, Adriana takes advantage of opportunities and understands that, by dedicating herself to serving the industry, opportunities naturally emerge across various markets.
