Skretting's feed factories in Italy, Vietnam, and Australia have been certified according to the ASC Feed Standard, further reinforcing their commitment to sustainability and responsible sourcing in the aquaculture industry.

First, Skretting Italy became the first feed plant in Italy to obtain the certification on July 7. Two weeks later, Skretting Vietnam became the first in an Asian country to be certified for both shrimp and fish feed. Lastly, Skretting Australia became the first feed facility in Australia to receive the certification.

In 2024, Skretting obtained its first ASC certificate at its Osorno plant in Chile. Similarly, its facilities in Ecuador, Honduras, Canada, Norway, Japan, and Spain also received the ASC certification. In total, Skretting now has 10 ASC-certified factories in different countries.

For Skretting, these distinctions reflect their "deep" commitment to responsible practices that benefit not only customers but also the communities, ecosystems, and supply chains within the sector.

"Our purpose is feeding the future, and an important part of this is strengthening our position as a leader within sustainability. By continuing to expand the number of ASC-certified operations we have across the globe, Skretting is offering assurance to all its customers and partners, and creating real value in the aquaculture industry," commented Jorge Diaz, Sustainability & Communications Director at Skretting.

Furthermore, during the Seafood Expo Global in Barcelona, Skretting was awarded the new Feed Standard by the Norwegian company DNV, acting as an independent certification body for the ASC.
