Aquaculture 2022, also known as the Triennal, is being celebrated in San Diego, USA. It is the largest aquaculture conference and tradeshow held in the world with nearly 4,000 attendees from over 90 countries. In 2019, the city chosen was New Orleans and 3,000 people assisted.

This event includes the annual meetings of the Fish Culture Section of the American Fisheries Society, World Aquaculture Society, National Shellfisheries Association, and the National Aquaculture Association.

In addition, visitors can attend to special sessions organized by Aquacultural Engineering Society and International Association of Aquaculture Economics and Management. Other activities regarding to aquaculture matters are scheduled.

Sustainability in aquaculture is one of the aims of the Triennal. Because of this, Dr. Rosamond Naylor, Stanford University, William Wrigley Professor of Earth System Science, seem the perfect choice to being plenary speaker. Her research focuses on policies and practices to improve global food security and protect the environment on land and at sea.
