A week ago, the North Atlantic Seafood Forum was held in Bergen (Norway). This event with parallel conferences continues to be a world reference in this 2023 edition.
More than thirty speakers from different countries and companies met in Norway to exchange points of view and learn about the sector. Among the special guests was the Norwegian Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Policy, Bjørnar Selnes Skjæran, who shed some light on the "salmon taxes" controversy.
Besides, the program was full of interesting speakers. Einar Gustafsson, the CEO of American Seafoods, for instance, provided an overview of the U.S. pollock industry. As well, Carlos Diaz, the CEO of BioMar, emphasized the advantages of better aquaculture feed. Finally, among others, Gorjan Nikolik, senior industry analyst at Rabobank International, gave a big picture of the global seafood trade.
An edition was full of professional wisdom that closes until next year. The 2024 edition has already been dated, from March 5th to 7th.
