SalmonChile, alongside the suppliers' associations, Acuiprov and AgrupaAysén, have signed the formation of a roundtable to promote the production sector and its value chain in the Aysén region of Chile.

The primary objective of the "Mesa de desarrollo de la salmonicultura de la región de Aysén" (Aysén Region Salmon Farming Development Board) is to promote the blue economy. It aims to generate a positive impact, not only on the world and the economy but also on local communities.

Thus, through joint and coordinated work, the aim is to strengthen the value chain. Consequently, they value entrepreneurship and competitiveness, recognizing the strategic importance of the productive sector in employment and economic matters.

Among the information available from the roadmap of the working group is the establishment of alliances with educational institutions and research centers. This would activate the promotion of specialized human capital formation in aquaculture and sustainability. In addition, all this would ultimately support entrepreneurship, sustainable innovation, and technological development in Aysén.

The president of SalmonChile, Arturo Clément, was one of the participants in the meeting and emphasized that "it is very significant for us to be able to sign this roadmap that aims at sustained development in the Aysén region. [It] involves not only the companies but also the entrepreneurs and suppliers that are part of salmon farming. It is crucial to continue promoting the southern part of the country because it shows how important salmon farming is."

Katya Inostroza, the president of Acuiprov, described this as the first step among many others. Francisco Lobos, the manager of PSCA at Multi X, emphasized that they believe this is the only way to create value, acknowledging the numerous challenges that lie ahead.
