Cooke appoints Brouwer as Managing Director for Morubel and Sales Leader in Europe

Cooke has announced that Johan Brouwer has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Morubel and Executive Sales Leader of Frozen Sales for Cooke Europe.

Cooke has announced that Johan Brouwer has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Morubel and Executive Sales Leader of Frozen Sales for Cooke Europe. Brouwer will be responsible for overseeing all commercial operations, sales, and marketing.

The Cooke family of companies has diversified its operations in Europe, including Bioriginal Europe/Asia B.V. in the Netherlands, Morubel, etc. The goal is to "carefully cultivate the ocean, nourish the world, sustain our families, and build stronger communities."

In this context, Morubel is the leading shrimp processor in Western Europe, cultivating, processing, packaging, and distributing shrimp and other seafood products. These facilities will now also be under Brower's leadership.

Johan has more than 20 years of experience in the industry, particularly in food services, retail sales, and account management. His resume includes positions at Veramaris, where he was Director of Business Development just before joining Cooke. However, there are many more, including various roles at Seafood Connection (Maruha Nichiro Group) and Marine Harvest (Mowi). Currently, he is a member of the board of directors of the Global Shrimp Forum.
