Repeat investors

Investors like Havfonn, the Steensland group, 3S Invest, Klaveness Marine, TD Veen, and Cubera have participated in both investment processes.

"The fact that the largest investors from our first fund choose to invest in the second fund too is a strong confirmation of the healthy development our first fund has seen," Landmark assured.

Bluefront also added that its portfolio companies allow to access an extensive range of seafood advisors. Among them are former Mowi CEO Alf-Helge Aarskog, former BioMar EVP Jan Sverre Røsstad, founding partner of the venture fund Springbank Jennifer Lee Koss, and HitecVision-partner Arne Trondsen.

Regarding this, Kjetil Haga, partner at Bluefront, said: "The fish farming industry needs to further improve biological conditions and fish welfare and reduce its climate footprint. Our portfolio companies (Bio Marine and Seaqloud)  contribute towards solving many of the challenges the industry faces."

WeAreAquaculture interviewed Kjetil Haga, co-founder of Bluefront Equity. Thus in the interview, he gave an insightful perspective on the company's values, the future perspective of the industry, and Bluefront's approach to innovation and environmental responsibility.
