BioMar has announced that from February, the Viet Uc joint venture in Vietnam will be headed by Managing Director Duong Anh Tu. He has "extensive commercial experience" in the feed and food sector in Asia.

In more detail, BioMar has confirmed that Duong Anh Tu has "vast experience" with local and global companies, including Olam Global Agri and Cargill.

The new BioMar portfolio is dedicated to helping Vietnamese farmers in the current situation of adverse market conditions. Duong Anh Tu has managed commercial development around the Vietnamese animal nutrition industry.

Francois Loubere, Vice President of BioMar Asia, said: "We have chosen Duong Anh Tu to lead the next phase of our growth of the shrimp feed business in Vietnam. He has a proven ability to lead the development of innovative solutions for the local markets, and we are sure he will be a strong asset for the organization as well as for the customers."

According to a statement published by the company, Duong Anh Tu will replace Franck Bodin, who was hired to launch the business in Vietnam and has been "instrumental in establishing the BioMar Viet Uc feed brand in the local market."
