Following sustainable aquaculture practices, Fluctus has announced a strategic partnership with Proximar Seafood for the supply of water feeding systems to their land-based facility in Japan.

This innovative approach will reduce energy consumption and address environmental concerns by minimizing microplastic emissions from traditional feed hoses.

Regarding this decision, Dharma Rajeswaran, Chief Operating Officer of Proximar, said: "Fluctus' water-based feed solution is well suited for RAS, especially to avoid dust and crush which is typically an extra burden for the water treatment in the facility. In addition comes the financial savings."

One of the key advantages of Fluctus' water feeding solution is that it reduces noise. This provides a serene environment for aquatic life within the facility. The cutting-edge system introduces efficiency while minimizing disturbances, setting a new standard for responsible aquaculture practices.

Sales Manager at Fluctus, Knut Bjarte Otterlei, said: "We look forward to contributing towards this exciting project and to delivering a feeding solution that provides efficient feeding in a sustainable way."

"Fluctus has focused on making the system as simple and user-friendly as possible, both with a special water lock and an associated distribution valve. We are experiencing great interest in our solution, both in Norway and abroad," he concluded.
