Acme Smoked Fish to sell new product at Whole Foods

Acme Smoked Fish, has launched its new Smoked Ahi Spicy Tuna, which will be distributed through Whole Foods — the supermarket chain known for its focus on natural, organic, and high-quality products.

This premium tuna is wild-caught, cured, cold-smoked, and coated in a bold chili garlic spice blend. The cold-smoking process is what enhances its rich flavor and texture, while the chili garlic crust is what adds the spicy kick.

This product requires no cooking and can be served in hand rolls, bowls, or simply enjoyed as a high-protein snack straight from the pack. It’s now part of their wide range of offerings, which includes cold-smoked salmon (lox, nova), whitefish, herring, sable (black cod), and more.

The family-owned company specializes in the processing, smoking, and distribution of cured fish and seafood. Its Brooklyn facility is recognized as one of the largest smoked fish processing plants in the U.S.

In 2026, Acme's current Chief People & Sustainability Officer, Rob Snyder, will be its new CEO. The incoming Chief Executive Officer will take over from current CEO Eduardo Carbajosa who is retiring after nearly two decades of leadership.

With over 20 years of experience across seafood, sustainability, and organizational development, as mentioned above, Snyder has served most recently as Acme's Chief People & Sustainability Officer.

In 2022, the New York-based corporation expanded both its production space and its product line for manufacturing and distribution. Additionally, to fulfill Southeast orders, it owns a distribution center in Florida since 2005.
