Aqua, the Vaxxinova business unit, has announced Sandra Arcos Peña as their new Technical and Commercial Director for Vaxxinova Chile. So, she will be responsible for the LATAM cold-water aquaculture business, with a special focus on the Chilean salmon industry.

Sandra is a veterinarian Dr. and has 20 years of experience in development, and technical support. Also, she has worked in sales of pharmaceuticals and biologicals for the aquaculture industry in Chile. Finally, she held technical and commercial management positions in both Chilean and international health and pharma companies.

Aqua provides solutions for the major challenges in the Norwegian market. In addition, it has extended its scope of activity to provide effective biological preventive solutions to the aquaculture industry in Chile.

The team in Chile will focus on the strategic R&D pipeline that started in 2017. This work targets novel vaccine products for the prevention of major existing and emerging disease challenges in the Chilean salmon industry with registered and autogenous products.

Vaxxinova Norway and Vaxxinova Chile belong to Vaxxinova International, which is part of the family-owned EW Group. The Group specializes in animal genetics, animal nutrition, and animal health. It operates in over 100 countries and records consistent international growth.
