New Managing Director for Trident Seafoods Europe

Trident Seafoods has appointed experienced food retail and manufacturing executive Naomi Matthews as the new managing director of its European business, Trident Seafoods Europe, headquartered in Lüneburg, Germany, according to an announcement posted by Matthews in LinkedIn.

She is also now managing director of Trident's Germany-based subsidiary, Pickenpack Seafoods, one of the largest European companies focusing on the production and distribution of private-label frozen fish products. Trident took over Pickenpack, headquartered in Riepe, Germany, in 2016.

The appointment sees Matthews, in her words, "returning to an industry that I love". Originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, Matthews most recently worked in the UK for Costa Coffee in several senior management positions including as Global Food Innovation Director and Commercial Director UK.

She also brings international experience from Australia, the UK and Canada, including senior roles focused on seafood at grocery retailers Coles Australia, Woolworths and Sobeys.
