Besix confirmed the strategic partnership includes the design, construction and operation of high-tech, land-based salmon farm in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The project will supply 2,000 metric tons per year of premium quality, locally grown, Atlantic salmon to the UAE with a minimized impact on the environment compared to other traditional methods.

Ocean Harvest designs, builds and operates RAS facilities which localize the production of Atlantic Salmon. In conjunction with this, Besix and Tech Group will join Ocean Harvest’s board of directors as investors and strategic partners. Within the successful completion of the first phase of Ocean Harvest’s inaugural facility, the company plans to expand its operations. Thereby, they will displace expensive and air-freighted supplies from overseas.
