Petuna Sealord Aquaculture, a part of Sealord Group, has announced that Rocky Boschman will be their new managing director as of this summer. Moreover, Rocky will also join the Sealord Senior Executive Team.
Boshman has the necessary background and experience. He has a degree in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography, as well as a master's in Business Administration. Moreover, Boschman has extensive experience in salmon farm management, production, and sales. He has worked for several companies in Canada, including Mowi and, most recently, as general manager of Grieg Seafood in British Columbia.
Petuna Sealord explained that his "values and ethics align strongly with Petuna/Sealord's and a focus on people and collaboration rank high in his leadership style."
The estimated date for him to assume the role will be in the summer, between June and July.
Petuna is a privately-owned Tasmanian success story, established by Peter and Una Rockliff in 1949. Originally a fishing company, Petuna diversified into aquaculture in 1990. In 2020, Peter and Una Rockliff sold their 50% shareholding to their existing business partner, Sealord Group.
