Line Ellingsen, CEO of Ellingsen Seafood, has been re-elected as Chair of the Board of Sjømat Norge, the national association for the Norwegian fishing and aquaculture industry.
The seafood executive was first elected last year as successor to the seafood federation's former chair Gunnar Haagensen.
"It is a recognition of the work we on the board have done during the current period, and I look forward to starting a new period together with the rest of the board," Ellingsen said in a press release.
Ellingsen is CEO of Ellingsen Seafood, a third generation family-run company, headquartered on the island of Skrova in Lofoten, Nordland county. The firm celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2022. She is also vice president of the Norwegian Confederation of Employers.
Seafood Norway confirmed that Arne Karlsen of Gunnar Klo will continue as First Deputy Chair and Øyvind Oaland of Mowi as Second Deputy Chair. Since last year, Oaland has also been heading the aquaculture sector group, while Karlsen leads the industry and trade group.
