Blue Genetics Mexico and Sea Products Development, a US provider of selectively-bred shrimp genetics, have formed a new company. It will work under the name Blue Genetics Global and will be located in France.
Firstly, Sea Products Development provides selectively bred shrimp genetics to the worldwide aquaculture industry in the form of broodstock and postlarvae.
On the other side, Blue Genetics Mexico specializes in genetic selection for white shrimp. It provides Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) broodstock to the international markets.
Finally, Groupe Grimaud will be the majority shareholder. There will be no changes in their structure and the existing management of both companies will support the new form, they confirmed.
